Illinois Arts Council Grant Recipients Honored

Representative Pihos honored twelve Illinois Arts Council grant recipients on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the College of DuPage McAnich Arts Center. $124, 618 was awarded to organizations in the areas of arts in education, dance, ethnic and folk arts, music and theatre arts.

Recipients included the Advent Chamber Orchestra, Chicago Dancing Company, College of DuPage McAnich Arts Center, WDCB radio, Downers Grove Choral Society, Downers Grove Concert Association, Anima-Young Singers of Greater Chicago, Glen Ellyn/Wheaton Chorale. IL Norsk Rosemalers Association, Morton Arboretum, Nrithyala, and Butterfield School.

Pihos Co-Sponsors Resolution to Impeach Governor Blagojevich

Due to the serious federal criminal charges filed against Governor Rod R. Blagojevich, I am currently co-sponsoring House Resolution 1644 calling for impeachment proceedings to begin immediately against Governor Rod R. Blagojevich. - Full Story
